I am considering having Lasik done next month but do not want to have monovision. I am very nearsighted and also need glasses for reading and computer work, so I wear glasses all of the time. However, my vision is good within a 7 inch range. If you have had lasik (not monovision) and have lost your close-up vision, do you find it annoying having to put glasses on & off to read. Is it very difficult to put on makeup? Is your food blurry and if so, do you find it annoying? Does anyone use progressive glasses for reading and computer work with no presription in the top portion for distance? That way you don't have to keep taking your glasses on and off when at work.
