Questions About Laser Vision Correction Cost

Joseph asks…

Is vision-correction eye laser surgery safe? Long term effects? Cost?

Looking for answers from people who've undergone the procedure or from trained medical specialists.

admin answers:

It is safe but the most common side effect is dry eyes.

John asks…

laser vision correction?

I have myopia, so I was wondering how much would correcting my vision would aproximately cost??

admin answers:

I had mine done near Baton Rouge, La and it cost me around $1800. But where I live the Eye Clinic charges around $4000 no lie. So totally shop around and check out reviews of the patients, look on-line see if you can find any negative comments about the prospective place. How many patients they do, success rate, etc. Good Luck!!!!

Linda asks…

Poll: Do you wear glasses, contacts, had laser eye surgery, or don't need vision correction?

I'm getting contacts on Wednesday and I'm concerned that they will cost a lot. How much are they depending on the amount of pairs and wearing period? Please reply and have a great day! :-)

admin answers:

I wear contacts most of the time. 6 contacts last 12 weeks. Dont remember how much they cost because I buy 1 year supply at a time.

Thomas asks…

Anyone had laser eye surgery/Lasik/vision correction?

Just curious how much it costs? My insurance covers 15% of the costs if I do it with a doctor they approve of. Thinking about getting it done later this year.

admin answers:

PLENTY of people here have. Our office just went down to $1750 per eye ($3500 total for both eyes). Thats just under $3000 if you have a 15% disc. You realize your insurance isn't "covering" 15%, right? They've just inked a deal that the surgeon will take 15% less. Its the same on your end, but not on the surgeon's end

Ruth asks…

I want to get my vision and I want to know more about laser/surgical eye correction?

I'm tired of wearing glasses and don't want to bother with contacts, but I want to see clearly under my own power. What are my options? Can it fix my vision to 20/20 perminantly? What are the costs? What does the procedure consist of? Is it worth it? Any other info/facts you could give?

admin answers:

It's definetely worth it, like a .0001% risk with a good doctor and you can get perfect vision for maybe 5-10 years? Costs are in the thousands but it pays back for money spent on lenses... Try google?
